You Are What You Eat

WHAT YOU EAT

There is a saying, “Garbage In, Garbage Out”. Well there is quite a bit of truth to this statement when it comes to eating. You literally become what you take into your body. The food you consume is the building block for every cell of your being.

Healthy eating habits as well exercise and rest are ways to honor your body. I have found when health and wellness is a core value, taking care of one’s body through sound nutrition becomes second nature. After all, when you eat better, you feel better, and therefore function better.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” gap=”35″ equal_height=”yes” content_placement=”top” bg_type=”image” center_row_content=”yes”][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”1561″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css_animation=”fadeInLeft”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″ text_alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]

It’s quite interesting to me how people will sometimes take care of their vehicles better than they will take care of their own bodies. They will have their vehicles cleaned and detailed weekly, change the oil regularly, have the vehicle insured, get regular tune-ups, and of course use only premium fuel. I mean they would never dream of putting cheap, toxic, leaded fuel into the vehicle of their dreams, which by the way will probably not last a lifetime.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” gap=”35″ equal_height=”yes” content_placement=”top” bg_type=”image” center_row_content=”yes”][vc_column width=”1/2″ text_alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]

Yet they will toss all kinds of chemicals, substances, preservatives, and food additives they cannot even pronounce into their bodies; which, by the way, is the only vehicle to move throughout this earth realm and the only one received in this lifetime. Your body is God’s dwelling place on the earth; His temple, that is if you have invited Him to live in you.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”1562″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css_animation=”fadeInRight”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” gap=”35″ equal_height=”yes” content_placement=”top” bg_type=”image” center_row_content=”yes”][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”1563″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css_animation=”fadeInLeft”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″ text_alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]

What’s even more interesting is that people will continue to put all kinds of garbage into their bodies and then are quite surprised when health issues begin to arise and manifest. Like…. Hello!!! You do not plant corn and receive green beans. Garbage in, equals garbage out. All foods eaten are ingested, digested, and what cannot be utilized as nourishment eliminated. Your food literally is the building block of your body meant to build, repair, and fuel every cell, tissue, bone, nerve, and fiber; including muscles, hair, skin, nails, eyes, the brain, organs, and more.

Even if you workout, what you eat is relevant.

Picture this: Your body is an amazing temple to be built. The best architects have been sought from around the world to draw up the plans. The most skilled builders and contractors have been recruited to design and structure a masterpiece. Then you decide to get the most inexpensive material you can find, lacking in both durability and quality. The best planners and builders are on site ready to formulate their most amazing project to date. However, they have the worst material ever to work with in building the temple. This is the case when we workout and yet do not put in quality nutrition. We have a great plan for building, but the material leaves much to be desire.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” gap=”35″ equal_height=”yes” content_placement=”top” bg_type=”image” center_row_content=”yes”][vc_column width=”1/2″ text_alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]

You may say, “But I cannot afford the cost of all that fancy, organic food; especially when feeding a family of four or more”. I understand that eating good nutritional foods may be expensive and not fit into your current spending plan. My advice: Eat the best you can with whatever means you have. Make taking care of your body, by the foods you consume, a priority.

Later on always comes…

You’ll either pay now, or you will pay the price later for poor nutritional choices with doctor bills and poor health.

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”

May you be richly blessed as you respect and honor the most valuable real estate in which you’ll ever reside: your body!
